We have redesigned the automated sampling manifold (called EPE) for the PTWS 1420 tablet dissolution tester to allow for manual sampling from the front of the instrument through connectors on the front side of the EPE. This was a common feedback we received from users to improve the manual sampling capabilities of the instrument when it is equipped with EPE and TMA automated tablet drop magazine.
Enabling Occasional Manual Samplings
While the instrument in this configuration is primarily designed for automated sample withdrawal, many customers also require manual samplings at least from time to time. For example the samples during a PVT performance verification test with USP calibrator tablets are usually manually samples, even when the dissolution system itself is equiped for automated sampling.

The part no. of the new EPE-1420M with the possibility of manual sampling is: 318-2071. It is available now. The older EPE (with part no. 318-2070) is also still available.
